Changes in user services

Some changes in user services are coming to the South Caroliniana Library this fall, as the staff prepares the building for a series of renovations. Beginning in September 2014 staff will begin relocating some collections, and access to materials may be delayed. Researchers should contact reference staff in advance of their visits to allow for the delivery of collection items to the library. All reference services are provided in the second floor reading room. Due to renovations scheduled to be underway this fall, class sessions and other meetings can no longer be held in the South Caroliniana Library; instead, collections curators will gladly work with faculty to schedule lectures and instructional sessions in their classrooms. The Library will be closed every Friday as a staff work day in conjunction with the move of collection materials. The library staff asks for users’ patience and understanding during this time.
